We weren't best friends but we weren't enemies either. At first glance in first year, to be honest I was less than thrilled to meet her. She seemed to be someone else than who she really was but then I quickly realised I had misjudged her. I was wrong about her for she was much more than the surface. She was bright, witty, charming and hilarious. We were not as close as we could have been but it was a growing friendship. She filled the air with her laughter and her beauty. I remember seeing her one day and went "this girl is gorgeous!" Not just physically but her overall presence was one that was beautiful. We became friends through Facebook by liking each other's pictures and stuff like that. And then Facebook was no more for her she became a Twitter addict and pulled us all in! Lol. Her tweets helped to show me just what kinda person she was. I remember one day I said to her "yuh skirt short eeh! Weh di rest of it?!" and she replied "My girl mi hot! Dis is di skirt! Lol!" We laughed about little things like that all the time. We shared classes together and all was well. There was a time when it was like we could share things without talking. I would see something and she saw it too and then it was just a big funny! I still remember her last words to me. It was another 'lol' moment. That fateful night\morning at that party she tweeted "Class at 8 but di party sweeeet!" My response was "My girl how u gone a party and u hv class lata!" She assured me she would be there. And early too. It came time for her to be there and then she wasn't. Calls went unanswered. Tweets and pings left without a response. I never fathomed that it would be what it was. I just thought she was tired. When it was confirmed that she was no more, my heart sank. I was looking forward to spending more time with her because Ann said "we a go rope har een!" Sadly there will be no 'roping' but she will not be forgotten. She was and will forever be a Beautiful Soul.
